The Great Cookie Heist
It was a quiet evening in the Smith household. The aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies wafted through the air. Mrs. Smith placed the golden-brown delights on the kitchen counter to cool and went upstairs.
Enter Tom, the mischievous cat, and Jerry, the ever-hungry dog. They exchanged glances, a silent agreement forming between them. The mission? Steal a cookie without being caught.
Jerry, with his height advantage, was the designated retriever. He stood on his hind legs, reaching for the counter, while Tom kept watch. But just as Jerry was about to grab a cookie, he lost his balance, sending the entire tray crashing to the floor.
Cookies scattered everywhere! Tom and Jerry, realizing their blunder, quickly gobbled up as many cookies as they could. But the noise had alerted Mrs. Smith.
She rushed downstairs, only to find a scene of cookie chaos. Tom and Jerry sat innocently amidst the crumbs, buttery muzzles giving away their guilt.
Mrs. Smith couldn't help but laugh. "You two are a handful!" she exclaimed, shaking her head.
And so, the great cookie heist ended not with punishment, but with laughter and a lesson learned: Never leave cookies unguarded with a cat and dog around!
